Our story
We are a sector cluster founded in 2025 with a special focus on lithium battery recycling. We connect the private and public sectors with the aim of raising awareness on the topic of battery recycling, supporting research and commercialization of scientific knowledge, as well as innovation and positive legislative changes.

Our mission
We want a future where materials are not seen as waste, but as valuable resources for further use. We support a circular economy through efficient battery recycling, material self-sufficiency and respect for nature.

Our vision
We connect academia, business and the public sector to support battery recycling. We support research, innovation and positive legislative changes. We spread awareness and educate key partners for efficient use of resources and sustainable development.

Commercial development
Stanislav Cingros
He has a long-standing interest in energy innovation, drawing on his experience from working in international companies. Since 2017, he has specialized in battery storage technology and its subsequent recycling. He founded and led a research project focused on the use of electric vehicle batteries for energy storage (so-called 2nd life), but the main goal was research into the recycling of lithium batteries down to the level of separation of individual metals of interest. He is also applying the project results and follow-up activities to the circular economy in the field of battery technologies.

Executive Director
JUDr. Lucie Šánková
She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Olomouc. She previously worked as a lawyer and participated in several research projects of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic focused on the field of transport. She passes on her knowledge as a lecturer of programs for drivers, lectures and publishes articles on this topic. She worked on Czech Television as a presenter of the legal program Týden v justici.

Scientific guarantor
Prof. Ing. Pavel Janoš, CSc.
Graduate of the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Pardubice and the Faculty of Physics of the Charles University in Prague. Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science in Brno and Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Protection Technology at the Brno Technical University. Thanks to his many years of experience in the field of applied research of special inorganic materials, he acts as a coordinator of cooperation between academia and industry.

Technical guarantor
Ing. Tomas Kubina
He graduated from the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He specializes in the development of battery storage technology and the preparation and implementation of related projects. He participated in the development of second life battery applications. He works together with Stanislav Cingroš in his own company, Appsen, and at the same time as a technical advisor for the Aku-bat association.

Commercial development
Tomas Krenc
Tomáš Krenc is the founder of FOR MTECH, a company specializing in the development and implementation of advanced technological solutions and the implementation of projects in the field of circular and sustainable economy. Tomáš also works as a co-owner and managing director of the renowned design, engineering and supply company CHEMINVEST, which has been operating in the field of chemistry, energy and industrial construction for 30 years, and as the owner of the successful engineering company FOR Engineering. The company specializes in the management of EPC projects in the energy and chemical sectors and the development of prototypes of hydrogen devices, such as hydrogen backup sources and autonomous mobile hydrogen filling stations. He is also the founder of the hydrogen company FOR H2ENERGY.

Scientific guarantor
Ing. Jiri Stojdl
He studied waste management and has been involved in lithium battery recycling for a long time. He is the head of a group working on lithium battery recycling at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, UJEP. In the past, he has collaborated on the research and development of various devices with a number of industrial partners.

Scientific guarantor
Dr. Ing. Tadeáš Wangle
Since his doctorate at KU Leuven, Tadeáš Wangle has been working at UJEP. In addition to teaching, he also works on methods for improving the recycling of used batteries. He is currently focusing on reducing the impact of recycling processes by removing minor waste products. Various process fluids can be reused after purification.
